This show will be the OFFICIAL VINYL RELEASE of the debut album "The Bright Light Social Hour". You can pre-order your copy of the vinyl LP here. The show will be filmed for the eventual release of live tracks and video, so come be a part of it!

Also, a free glass of champagne will be provided to everyone for the New Year's toast. Opa! And the wondrous L.A.X will be starting the party off right.

If you haven't already heard, The Bright Light Social Hour are hard at work on their 1st ever full-length studio album. They're working with esteemed Indie producer Danny Reisch, and I can't tell you how amazed we are with how everything is turning out. We're currently in the mixing stage, for the first time hearing the songs as masterfully crafted recording pieces the guys never dreamed could be possible. But don't take my word for it! Have a look at the latest installment of "In the Studio with The Bright Light Social Hour" as I take you behind the scenes at Cacophony Recorders, where drum and bass tracks were recorded to analog tape:
Now I should tell ya that The Bright Light Social Hour are funding this record entirely on their own, and it's because of your generous donations here at jacksmoustache.com that they're able to make this record. However, after 7 weeks of grueling and meticulous recording at several high-end studios, we still have a long way to go to meet the forthcoming costs of mixing, mastering, manufacturing, artwork, packaging, replication, distribution, and promotion for the new record. Work on the record seems to be goin great so far, and It looks like producer Danny Reisch really knows how to get the right takes out of the boys. My name is Jack's Moustache, official moustache of The Bright Light Social Hour bassist/singer Jack O'Brien. Upon learnin' that puttin' out a record is pricier than picture-show popcorn, the band asked me to take charge of raisin' funds for their upcoming album. Well, I just couldn't say no. Shoot! These guys've been together so long they're on their 3rd bottle of Tabasco! It's high time they put out a full-length, and from the look of it, they need all the help they can get.


So, I set up this here website to gather donations in exchange for some rather fantastic personalized services on behalf of the band and myself. This video pretty much explains it all:
